Child Nutrition Program

We provide reimbursement for family child care providers serving meals that meet USDA requirements. We assist with meal planning, record keeping, training, and curriculum development.

ESD 112 is a sponsoring organization for the Child and Adult Care Food Program operated by the state Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). This federal program assists child care providers with the cost of healthy meals and snacks provided to children in their child care.

Each day more than 2.6 million individuals participate in CACFP at day care homes and centers across the country. Providers are reimbursed for serving nutritious meals which meet USDA requirements. The program plays a vital role in improving the quality of child care and making it more affordable for low-income families.

Every provider is eligible for the food program. The amount you get paid for meals is determined by the number of free and reduced lunches within the school boundary that you serve or it is determined by your income.
