Child Care Resource & Referral

We connect schools to child care providers and facilitate cross-system professional development addressing school readiness needs.

Child care professionals are integral to promoting children’s readiness and smooth the transition into kindergarten. ESD staff brings kindergarten teachers together with early childhood professionals to strengthen and streamline the transition process. We provide onsite training and consultation to help child care professionals address needs. As approved STARS training agencies, ESD 112 and the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District provide continuing education classes to help providers fulfill their required training for licensing.

The ESD also houses a lending library stocked with instructional materials, learning kits, books and products to help caregivers expand their horizons for children. Discovery Kits are also available to child care providers for use in their programs.
